LINCOLN, Neb. – Iowa State hit nine treys and outrebounded Nebraska, but poor inside shooting and turnovers plagued the Cyclones as they fell, 55-45, at Nebraska Wednesday night. Nebraska hit eight treys and shot 45.8 percent for the contest.
With the loss, Iowa State finished tied with Texas for seventh place in the final Big 12 standings. The Cyclones finish the regular-season slate with an 18-11 overall record and a 7-9 mark in the Big 12. Nebraska improved to 20-10 overall and 9-7 in the league, locking up sixth place in the final standings.
Iowa State will take the eighth seed into the Big 12 Championship, beginning Tuesday, March 11. The Cyclones will play Colorado at noon on Tuesday.
