COLUMBIA, Mo.— Leo Lyons hit a shot with :14 seconds left in double overtime to help Missouri survive with an 81-75 win over Iowa State Wednesday night in Columbia.
ISU, which falls to 14-16 overall and 4-11 in Big 12 play, held a 3-point lead with under a minute left in regulation and made a last-second shot by Diante Garrett in the first overtime to keep
ISU’s chances alive. Garrett finished the game with a career-high 20 points.
“I told our guys to not hang their heads on this one,”
ISU head coach Greg McDermott said. “We competed and fought hard. I told our guys that we have made great improvement even though it has not been showing up in the win column.”
