Cory might have been gotten The Derrik Hayes treatment.

Quite frankly, Cory frees up a Scholarship that ISU can use to bring in someone who could give 10 or 15 minutes of quality play time per game.
Don't get me wrong. I like Cory. I thought he worked hard. But he just wasn't going to push for playing time. He hasn't really progressed his game after he arrived on campus.
Good luck to Cory. Yeah...with the pipeline for superstar players we have built to Nebraska he should be able to get another one from there. Maybe the second leading scorer on the Bergan team...what was his name?

I cheer for two teams, Iowa State and whoever is playing the hawkeyes.

Frankly, I think it was foolish that he appears to have not done more to retain guys already at ISU when he came on board.
I know many of you want to knock these guys that left as not being good guys or even good players but their performance on and off the court post ISU would indicate otherwise.
Or maybe you will tell me he had no chance to save them because of the system he wanted to implement...but clearly, the best coaches adapt/change their systems to fit their talent.
Lastly, don't give me the Wayne Morgan told them to transfer talk...Cyfan13 (Rahshon's fiance') has totally debunked that myth. Please, enlighten us how you keep guys that aren't happy. Are we talking Jedi mind tricks here? If kids aren't happy with a staff or location, you can't MAKE them play. You are better off to let them leave and bring in peope who want to be here. Would you stay at a job you weren't happy with? What if a boss you really liked left and you got a new one with a totally different style. Can you blame your new boss if you left? Or would you expect that new boss to "make" you work for him\her?

And did I say anything about having to bring in someone from Nebraska? There are thousands and thousands of HS recruits for 2009 and ISU now has an open scholarship.
I can't believe what a bunch of crybaby fans we have at ISU. CJ left. Big deal! I think we can make up the 2.3 points per game elsewhere.

I love it when you clear things up with a definitive answer like that. And I hate it at the same time. Since you obviously have an inside track to info, what you post is as good as gold to me. At the same time, and for the same reasons, it's what you DON"T post that drives me crazy.
For example, you could have just as easily said that Corey is the last known defection at this time. But you didn't which makes me think you are privy to more information about others that you can't reveal.
With that said, please keep the iinfo coming. I'll just have to learn to cope with my paranoia. This is what makes this board enjoyable for me...sorry
With that said...To date I'm not aware of anybody else leaving the team...but things change every day, as you know.

Guess we need to keep the Help Wanted sign out continuously.
Wonder if CJ will transfer to a school in Minnesoata.
If one more might transfer from last year - we only have two names left DG and Lucca. Hmmmm.

He is such a weird body type to play in college basketball. I never really could figure out what position he was playing. Good luck to him i guess. Not a big deal.

We also lose the strongest guy on the team too. I hope we don't get into too many physical matchups this year.

I wasn't upset at first since we all know that not everybody can play, and so he needs to do what's best for him.....but it is a bit bothersome in the sense that Gmac is supposed to be great for developing post players, and in light of that, CJ still doesn't want to stick around. Well, this isn't worth beating ourselves up over, but the number of guys leaving is starting to add up.

No matter what the condesending flippant types say. Losing a hustling, strong, 3rd yr player playing the position we need the most help at, hurts. Apparently a lot of you must not of seen any of the summer games last yr. Cory was everywhere and was the mvp imo. He never did get the minutes he deserved i thought. He shot 65% from field, what was his pts per min avg? Maybe Mac thinks Mann will be the Man next yr.

Maybe we need to hire back Wayne just to be a full time recruitier while he also does his BTN gig. Looks like we need five bodies every year as fillers.
