AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State gymnastics team used a strong showing at the Big 12 Championship to vault themselves into the NCAA Regional Championship April 29 at 5 p.m. in Happy Valley. Penn State is set to host the regional. Live stats will be available at cyclones.com
The top 36 teams in the nation qualify for regionals, with six teams being placed in six different regions. The No. 1 seed in Iowa State’s region is Georgia, the top-ranked team in the nation. Auburn, Denver, Penn State and BYU will also compete against ISU. The top two teams from each region advance to the National Championship meet which will be held April 24-26 at Georgia in Athens, Ga.
