ISU: Exclusive ISU Basketball Uniform Info

Per sources, Iowa State has settled on the new design for the basketball uniforms. While things are still subject to change a little, the below is the major information we've learned so far. I've attached an image of the Syracuse uniforms that they will be similar to.

- They'll look a lot like Syracuse's unis (but our colors of course).

- The Home unis they will be white. There will be Cardinal and Gold stripes on the shorts. With the I-State logo on the bottom, similar to where the Syracuse logo is.

- The Home Top will say "IOWA STATE" in the cyclone font. The letters and numbers will be cardinal with gold outline and there will be an I-State logo at the V of the neck.

- The Away Unis will be the same design only solid Cardinal. The letters will be gold with white outlines.

Any idea if there will be a third "gold" uniform? I think that style will look awesome with gold as the main and cardinal/white block stripes.

For all those who say they don't like them I say I would rather have the recruits like them rather than the fans.

Relax, that picture was taken around 2 years ago this time of year when Nike was just releasing these jerseys for the final four. Around that time too Nike was promoting their Under Armour like clothing too to compete with them. To my knowledge no one has ever worn any kind of long sleeves during any basketball game.

That would be quite the recruiting race between two schools if it came down to the look and comfort of the uniform.

Hopefully the recruit cares more about the name on the front of the uniform.

I was affraid to say it but the third color I've heard mentioned is grey. I don't know if that is the final choice but it was a very real possibility.

I like the jerseys a lot! If the players like them, then I like them. One thing I know from playing spots growing up is anytime you get new looking uniforms, shorts, etc. you get really excited for the upcoming season. I think the players knowing they are getting new jerseys are just making them pumped up for next year.

I think that might be a nike thing... I have seen pretty Florida, Syracuse, and Ohio State all wearing the Grey alternate. Can't say I am a huge fan but if that's what the kids are into these days...

One thing I know from playing sports growing up is anytime you are getting Capri Suns after the game, you get really excited.

Have we looked into this?
