ISU: Exclusive ISU Basketball Uniform Info

Like the football uniforms - anything that doesn't look like a Plochman's mustard truck collided with a Heinz ketchup truck in a messy high speed collison is an upgrade in my eyes. There are very few college basketball players that "fill" out their uniforms. I doubt these unis will make us look any different than most or that any of us or the team will be embarrassed.

Wes, Diante, and Wes are going to look even thinner next year. I for one will not be buying a game type jersey for myself. My figure would not do that justice.

I wish the ladies skirts...er I mean the Long, Baggy Shorts fad would just go away. It's at least 10-years old and the look is getting tired. It looks stoopid and it's a waste of material.

I like baggy shorts. I don't think anybody else wants to see my creamy thighs either, so I figure the world is better off since their invention.

I don't like 'em. Maybe JP will leave it up to a vote of the fans and then choose an option that's not even on the ballot like he did with the football helmets.

I think they're sweet and if the players like them that's another plus. I'm really excited to see the cardinal away uni's!

I'm actually really excited for these uniforms.. the big time schools have them, and I think they look professional. Better than the really baggy loose jerseys that make us look poor and un-athletic.. davidson is a good example of a school that just looked out of place late in the tournament.

can anyone photoshop the uniform to look like what we'll see?

I agree with not likeing the shorts. I realize that the short shorts of the 60s will never come back, but why do they have to look like knee length skirts? I think the tight jersey just accentuates the shorts looking too big.

Per sources, Iowa State has settled on the new design for the basketball uniforms. While things are still subject to change a little, the below is the major information we've learned so far. I've attached an image of the Syracuse uniforms that they will be similar to.

- They'll look a lot like Syracuse's unis (but our colors of course).

- The Home unis they will be white. There will be Cardinal and Gold stripes on the shorts. With the I-State logo on the bottom, similar to where the Syracuse logo is.

- The Home Top will say "IOWA STATE" in the cyclone font. The letters and numbers will be cardinal with gold outline and there will be an I-State logo at the V of the neck.

If the players like them, then the recruits are apt to like them too. Getting better recruits will make all of us happier.

A majority of the players these days like the long shorts. For those that do not like the long shorts, I would assume you're from the short-short generation.
