WBB: Ross Eligible for 2008-09 Campaign

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State senior women’s basketball player Toccara Ross has been approved for a medical redshirt and is eligible to return to play for the Cyclones in 2008-09, the Big 12 Conference confirmed.

Ross tore the anterior cruciate ligament in her right knee against Minnesota on Dec. 21. She played in just nine games last season, averaging 6.4 points and 3.7 rebounds per contest.

With the return of Ross, Iowa State will bring back its entire roster next season and will gain the services of three new recruits for the 2008-09 campaign.

I don't want to put high expectations on them....but you would hope they don't have to go through that "learn to play as a team" phase.

let's hope since they don't have to go through that "learn to play as a team" phase our men's program has had to do almost every year...they will go through a "GEL together as a team" and turn into a well-oiled machine on the court.

Boy, I hope so! I don't know how many times I've imagined them well-oiled, but actually getting to see that on the court would certainly be a dream come true!
