| Four-Run Sixth Inning Lifts ISU Past Drake, 5-1 AMES, Iowa – Iowa State scored four runs in the sixth inning to break open a 1-1 game and pick up the 5-1 win in the second game of a doubleheader against Drake Wednesday afternoon at the Southwest Athletic Complex. The win snapped a six-game losing streak and marked the first time the Cyclones had scored five or more runs since March 26 against Northern Iowa.
The Cyclones (24-18) trailed Drake (18-17) 1-0 after Marilyn Buss hit her third homer of the season in the first inning. Full Story
