“That’s the cost of doing business,” Pollard cracked as he continued to personally sign letters to the more than 1,000 Cyclone Club donors who have upped their giving level from last year. “The generosity of our donors has been remarkable. Personally signing all of the letters reminds me daily how many Cyclone fans are answering the call to invest in our Iowa State student-athletes.”
Pollard said the letter-signing is like an endurance race. Full Story

Prices for everything else are going up, so keeping donation levels the same does not help.

This guy never ceases to impress me. I love the part about the goal of 10,000 members by 2010 bringing ISU into the top third of the Big 12 donation level. Considering where we rank in enrollment, stadium capacity, etc. that is very impressive.

On a side note, until this year I think he personally called everyone who moved up to Captain's Club.
Alas, we moved up this year and didn't get the call, only the hand signed letter. Maybe that means so many people moved up he didn't have the time to call???
