AMES, Iowa – Iowa State student-athlete’s are graduating at a rate that exceeds the general student population. But ISU had its student-athletes looking beyond graduation Monday at the first-ever Cyclone Student-Athlete Career Fair Monday in the Hixson-Lied Student Success Center.
Principal Financial Group, Well-Fargo Financial, Pella Corporation, LWBJ, the Ames Police Department, Sauer-Danfoss and Fastenal Corporation were among the companies represented at the inaugural fair. The event drew student-athletes from all Cyclone sports to discuss career options.
Iowa State athletics director Jamie Pollard and senior associate athletics director David Harris had seen the same kind of event blossom at Wisconsin.
