Ok.
Of the Sweet 16 teams this year...
Only Wisconsin and Texas had less than 8 players averaging 10 minutes or more per game.
Kansas actually didn't go as far into their bench as some other teams, though I would say their distinguishing trait was the almost complete lack of dropoff in their bench play.
Most Sweet 16 teams went 9 or more deep into their bench for significant minutes. I don't think this is a coincidence.
---
North Carolina had 9 players that played at least 14.5 minutes per game.
Washington State had 8 players that played at least 11.2 minutes per game, with another two at 7 per game.
Louisville had 8 players that averaged at least 17.7 minutes per game, with another 3 right around 8 minutes per game.
Tennessee had 10 players that averaged at least 10.6 minutes per game, with another two players at 9.5.
Kansas had 8 players that averaged at least 11.6 minutes per game, with Cole Aldrich averaging 8.6.
Villanova had 10 players that averaged at least 12.7 minutes per game. Wisconsin had 7 players that averaged at least 11.5 minutes per game. (6 players averaged at least 24.6. This team supports your example about as well as possible.)
Davidson had 9 players that averaged at least 13.4 minutes per game.
Memphis had 9 players that averaged at least 12.5 minutes per game, with another at 9.1.
UCLA had 9 players that averaged at least 11.7 minutes per game, with another at 9.2.
Western Kentucky had 11 players that averaged at least 11.4 minutes per game.
Michigan State had 9 players that averaged at least 10.9 minutes per game.
Stanford had 9 players that averaged at least 10.4 minutes per game, with another at 9.4. Texas had 6 players that averaged at least 16.7 minutes per game, with another at 9.8.
West Virginia had 8 players that averaged at least 11.7 minutes per game, with another at 7.5.
Xavier had 8 players that averaged at least 10.4 minutes per game, with another at 8.1.

have you ever got caught outside In a strong rainfall? Yes or NO. If it"s yes, then you might half felt the pane of hard(tought) rain on you head. If it hurt"s then it"s tough. Yes or no. Okay I'm right and you know it.
So alothough you attempt"ed to say you didn"t understnad, now you do. Fair enough?

I don't really consider 10 MPG part of the regular rotation, especially on great teams where some guys will get bigger minutes in blowouts. CJ was at 8.6 mpg, which isn't that far below 10, and he didn't even play in a lot of games.

Good stats that support my point. I said a rotation of 7-8 players that avg. 15+ minutes per game. There will certainly be another 2-3 players that play minutes here and there, but the core rotation (15+ minutes per game) is made up of 7-8 players.
Thanks for reaffirming my opinion.

I guess I don't care if 6 guys play or if 12 do. The important thing for me is that the level of play stay consistent. With injuries, slumps, playing versus different styles, and match-up challenges; the more contributors the better. But, if the gap is too wide and only 1 or 2 guys can help off of the bench so be it. Coaching is a tough job. You don't know if a guy can contribute until you put him out on the floor...but, how long do you sacrifice potential wins for giving a player a chance to prove himself. A lot of variables go into every decision. I guess that is why coaches get paid the "Big Bucks".

One thing missing from this class, someone to somewhat replace Rahshon Clark. I wish we could have gotten an athlete like Brad Reese or Jimmy Butler. Not having a defensive stopper will hurt us when playing a team next year that has a huge scorer.
