Because Tyler Smith didn't get to play right away due to Alford's departure; he got a waiver because he transferred because of his sick father. Taggart had to sit out a year for Memphis when Wayne left.

Can someone elaborate on Christopherson and tell us why he is a steal?

All I thought that we really needed this spring was a good, starting caliber Juco post. With Vanderbeken we've gotten that. I'm happy that we got Pomlee, too. I think he has potential to be a quality post down the road. Hopefully either he or Hamilton can redshirt next year.

I'm not sure that Christopherson fills a need that we had. But too many shooters is better than too few, as we've seen in the past. We need a good small forward next year, unless GMac wants to go to a true three guard lineup in the future.

I like LA cause he'll bring some defense. Dont know about the others tho. Maybe now Hamilton and Eikmeier can redshirt. Hopefully they do, cause players 10-13 wont be seeing much playing time and will pretty much be wasting a year, see Boozer.

Just a reminder - nothing can be official until signatures are dry but as it stands all three have given verbal committments. Once we get the papers finalized we can finally breathe easily. As Cyclones, we know all to well that committments don't always mean committments:)

But as of this minute, all three have given their word to the good guys. The papers should all be done tomorrow.

FYI - I've talked to Chris Williams and he's been working hard on the story and will have some great writeups ready later in the week on CR. Hopefully he can give his insight in his blog here as well. I know he was sitting on the story like we were so hopefully his articles can provide much more insight into what exactly we've gained with these three players.
