AMES, Iowa – If signed commitments for the premium seating areas at Jack Trice Stadium are any indication, then enthusiasm is on significant upward trajectory for the Cyclones’ 2008 football season.
The on-going Phase I construction at the stadium is progressing nicely (
see this video walk-through from Wednesday). Much of this $19.5 million phase is connected to the renovation or construction of 47 suites and 542 club seats. Additional restrooms and concessions stands are also part of the off-season makeover.
“Our sales calls for the suites and club seats have been very successful,” Senior Associate Athletics Director Frank Nogel said. “There are a few opportunities still available for fans with an interest in suites or club seats, but the inventory is dwindling fast.”
Iowa State has leased 95.7 percent of the Jack Trice Stadium suites (45-of-47) and 93.4 percent (506-of-542) of the club seats. Both of the premium seating areas will debut in 2008.
Nogel said the available suites have “an outstanding view of the playing field” and hold 24 and 16 people, respectively. The club seats include a complimentary buffet, reserved parking, flat screen TV monitors and radiant heating. The club lounge (behind the seating section) is climate controlled with private restrooms.
