Beginning later this week, we're going to start having merchandise giveaways on CycloneFanatic to show our appreciation for everybody's continued support. With our merchandise giveaways, we're going to offer free CycloneFanatic merchandise in return for monetary donations to the site. The merchandise will be different for each of the giveaways and we'll try our best to accommodate everybody's interests as best as possible with varying types of merchandise (of course nothing adult oriented though
).
Obviously the merchandise can vary in costs so we'll have to adjust the giving amount required to get the prize but we'll try and keep things as low as possible. Our goal is simply to have fun and give back to the community while supporting the financial needs of the ever-growing site.
Later this week we'll have the first giveaway, an often requested item, but we'll announce more information on that later in the week. Also look for more information in early summer regarding a full line of CycloneFanatic merchandise that we'll be offering - with possible discounts for donors as well.
As far as how donations work - I have setup a new donation system that a colleague developed. Using the drop-down "Donation" menu at the top of the page, you can donate and track your past donations. No longer do you have to try and figure out when you donated and how much it was, we'll keep that on record to help you out. If you are a PayPal member, you can even freely elect to setup a recurring donation if you'd like (this had been suggested by several of our long-time members).
In conclusion, I'd like to thank all of you for the incredible support each of you has given over the past 26 months. The site has steadily and rapidly grown to be one of the biggest websites in all of Iowa and each of you is owed a great big Thank You for making that happen
With the future of Iowa State Athletics and CycloneFanatic incredibly bright, I certainly look forward to continuing to gain new friends and be in the company of the best fan-base in all of college athletics.
