We're now half way through 2008 and the best part of the year is less than two months away!
There are four things I want to cover real quick...
1 - I'm finishing up the final touches on the new CF Store and hope to have it rolled out soon. After getting some initial feedback from the moderating staff around two months ago, I've gone back and completely rewritten everything from scratch. I have a few small things to finish up yet this week and then it's just a matter of setting prices and opening it up to the public.
2 - Rep has become so inflated that it's been deemed necessary to reset everybody back to equal footing and set new formulas for how points are calculated and how fast they add up. Going forward, the actual numerical value will not be shown on the site, instead, a graphical representation of green dots will appear under the user's profile to indicate how they've progressed (i.e. a new green box for every 1,000 rep points on the new scale - up to 10 boxes). Each user has been reset to 0 but I've calculated each user's rep altering power up against their post count to help weight things out.
3 - Stay tuned for some great news next week concerning the site. I've promised big things for the site in the past and I think I've always delivered, this time included.
4 - I typically don't do this, and I hate it more than just about anything, but I wanted to reach out and ask for people to make any donations they may see fit. As we continue to grow and the costs of running the site increase, it's as important as ever that we try to continue moving in the right direction.
I want to thank all of you - moderators, members, visitors, etc - for everything over the past 2 1/2 years. We have millions of page views each month from tens of thousands of unique visitors each month and it's only because of the contribution of each and every one of you. Here's to many more exciting and entertaining years ahead!
Thanks,
Jeremy Lind

I'm looking forward to the "improvements" even though I can't think of any needed.
Keep up the good work.

Here's a good teaser for you guys...
The announcement isn't a new feature.
The announcement is potentially "game changing".

The announcement is potentially "game changing". Thanks for giving me something to take my mind off of HB for the next week or so.
Site's great and I'm sure the new features will only increase my viewing.
Thanks again!

The announcement is potentially "game changing". Our staggering addiction to CF is going to be revealed as the Pontiac Game-Changing Performance of the year?
Are we renaming the grass at Jack Trice the "Cyclone Fanatic Field at Jack Trice Stadium"?
Is Jeremy going to ninja his way to the other team's bench and give crippling wedgies to their best players?
