...for December 8. What's the special occasion? Well, besides it being the Iowa-Iowa State MBB game, it's also going to be the kickoff for the CycloneFanatic club (sorry, we haven't come up with a witty name for it yet).

The game is away, with a 7:00 tipoff. We will be meeting at Victor's Sports Club in Des Moines to eat, drink, and watch ISU beat up on Iowa. Start-off time hasn't officially been set yet, but the owner (a friend of Thunderdave's) has already agreed to put aside some tables for us. I am posting a new poll - it will list attendance, so we hope to see lots of numbers!. If we can get some hard numbers, we may be able to get discounts on food, etc. Jer is also working with a local company to get CycloneFanatic T-shirts available, and those may be available for purchase at that time, too. Please respond to the poll so that we can get more firm information for everyone!! Hopefully we will have details by then about other events, as well.

Come, meet, and talk sports your fellow CF'ers while kicking back and watching the game with a beer, the way sports were meant to be. Feel free to PM me or post here if you have any questions, feedback, or anything else!! Looking forward to meeting everyone!!

I voted yes in lieu of a "maybe" option. I should be able to make it but I have a hard time leaving the comforts of my living room and my 60 inches of pure digital pleasure.

Ah damn, I'll probably be going to the game but if we wind up staying in town will probably be there. Will have to make these a monthly thing or something :)
