Re: Season opener vs SDSU on National TV

OK...NOW I can justify the Thursday night opener since it will be nationally broadcast.

FCS also replays games in their entirety. On Central, they've been running a lot of FSN- and FCS-produced Big 12 games from 2007 lately. Atlantic has a lot of ACC and SEC stuff. Pacific is mostly Pac-10.
Changing the subject a bit, but does anybody else with Mediacom digital basic get ESPNU and the Outdoors channel for free? I no longer have Mediacom, but when I did I got both of those for free with my digital basic package--didn't have any of the other Sports Pack channels. I always thought it was kind of weird as I never saw any promotional material for digital basic that said you were supposed to get those channels, but of course I never complained!

at least we have choices on where to watch it on TV on internet, rather than not being able to see it anywhere. I will always be at home games in person, but I really want us to become great in football so I can see our team and school on national TV and get better coverage.

I was getting ESPNU for free, but I added the sports pack last year so my work study student could watch Colorado games from my apartment.

Re: Season opener vs SDSU on National TV

FCS on Directv is generally just available when the games are live. They carried a few college football games last year on 617, and then when there was no game, the channel wasn't available.

This is Great News.
Mediacom Channel 173. TV always helps recruiting. So so far the Non Conference games will be on
FCSC
BTN
MWN

I am guessing Kent State won't be on...

I think I'd head to the sports bar before using those tactics. You can maybe do that and get away with it, but it just doesn't seem very ethical to me.

I don't see any problem with it. Mediacom is still getting their money, and in fact getting a lot more than they probably should: if mustangcy paid $1 for one day, and the Sports Pack costs $4 for a whole month, then Mediacom actually got about one week's worth of money.

Re: Season opener vs SDSU on National TV

I am pretty sure you have to have the sports pack for the game. I had it last year when the games were on, so I can't say with 100% certainty. All I know is the games showed up in the guide a couple days out.

Someone said clone zone was becoming the clown zone. My suggestion is to log in early and wait for picture to come on right at kickoff.

My advice is to sign up for CZ now instead of waiting until 30 minutes before kickoff. That will help significantly. The problems that occurred during the Toledo game were due to Toledo setting up their feed incorrectly.

SDSU Game Nationally Telivised.

Good news...even though I will be there! I guess moving it up to Thursday helped in this case?
