Lightbulb CycloneFanatic - 2 1/2 Year Mark

As of this month, CycloneFanatic has been going for 2 1/2 years - what seems like an eternity with how quickly things move these days. Just as Cyclone Athletics has progressed mightily over the past few years, so too has the biggest Cyclone community. With several million page views a month from all corners of the country, and beyond, it's been a journey that will only be superseded by that which awaits us.

There has never been a better time to be a Cyclone Fanatic - both on and off the field, court, mat, track, etc. Some out-of-staters may call this the Hawkeye State - but the Cyclone faithful have shown time and time again that there is nothing black and gold about this state. Other schools may have larger fan-bases, some may have more championship banners and some certainly have bigger budgets, but none has as vocal and loyal of a fan-base as Iowa State - as demonstrated by the recent designation as the greatest fan-base by CBS.

Over the past few years, we've been working hard at taking suggestions from members as to what they wanted to see on CycloneFanatic and we've responded as best we could. From simple site enhancements to major features, our goal is to make as many fanatics as happy as possible. The latest example - earlier this week we rolled out the new CF Store with more items than we ever imagined we'd carry. Later this fall, we'll roll out more and more of the member suggestions. This site exists because of you and it will continue to be shaped by you.

As anybody that really knows me will tell you, I am extremely dedicated to making sure all Cyclones have a voice and to ensure that CycloneFanatic is around for many years to come. It's been your incredible support that has kept the site going - scratch that - thriving and growing relentlessly - over the past few years. Without your support, there would be no CycloneFanatic and there would be no place for the tens of thousands of die-hard fanatics to congregate and discuss everything they care about.

It's on that note that I simply say Thank You! It's not much, but it's sincere and from the bottom of my heart. I'm a strong and determined person, but I'm also a person that takes things personally and has emotions - and it's that reason that I can honestly say this site is a family to me. Maybe I don't stress that enough, but as somebody that has grown up as part of the Cyclone family from day one, I can honestly say that CycloneFanatic and all of your support has made that even more meaningful and special. We're a very large family, but one that I hope, and truly believe, is one of the greatest anywhere.

Thank You and Go Cyclones!

Jeremy Lind

P.S. 100,000 credits for everybody

Congrats on the 2.5 year anniversary! I feel like you should get like a diamond ring from cyclonefanatic.com itself.

On another note, how is the CF store going thus far?

Thanks.

The store is doing well but it's one of those things that is hard to judge. I would really like to see more orders, even though we're not making a huge markup, just because it's great seeing people wearing the gear and spreading the word. Hopefully everybody enjoys it and those that had put in suggestions take the time to order.

Geez Jeremy, you're sounding like my girlfriend, what with all this half year anniversary nonsense and talk of emotions

Seriously, though, congratulations. Keep up the good work!

Are you trying to cause inflation? This is my retirement bookie credits, I don't want them to be worth less because the prez decided to tell the treasury to crank the machines up to 11.

If you were smart enough to take a cut of each losing bet, you'd realize that people would have more credits, bet more, lose more, more credits for your retirement. Of course they'd win more too and so could you, so you could possibly double-whammy!

This is reminding me of a casino owner giving his ladies "an inch," and then the owner telling his bouncer to "make sure they lose it in THIS casino"

Attempt #2
The ongoing story of the persistent attempts to get to the other side.

I updated the first post but wanted to restate it for those that had already red it - 100,000 credit bonus all around
