I am just glad I mentioned Charles on this board last week before CR or CN had ever brought up his name.

It's funny that people who actually know some things behind the scenes on this board have bad rep levels? While people who know nothing and just make funny remarks are way up there.

Send me my Cookie. Your rep looks fine to me. And maybe you're a bit obsessed with your rep, everyone else's rep and popularity?
So you knew something before it was released. Thank you for sharing.

Coach McDermott just spoke at our company quarterly meeting. Great speaker. love the guy. Anyway, he mentioned a recruit was on campus yesterday and signed to play for ISU last night. I'm assuming this confirms that Charles Boozer is on board to be a Cyclone even though he did not mention his name specifically.

Think I trust the sanity of Gmac over you. Lets see he has a track record, he knows the players he has recruited, he knows how his bigs are developing in practice...He has taken teams to Big Dance...

Rivals has him 2 star commitment.
Speaking of recruits, we could use some football defensive secondary help - here is one in play: Fabian Washington was selected in the first round of the NFL Draft after being a lock-down cornerback for the Huskers. Now, his cousin, LaTravis Washington, is being recruited by the Huskers. The 6-foot-3, 210 pound safety has scholarship offers from Nebraska, Ohio Sate, Auburn, and many more. However, Washington is making a commitment to one school. Will he follow in the footsteps of his cousin and join the Blackshirts of Nebraska? | EIU is the other Okoboji University for serious students and home of Captain Kirk who pilots the Enterprise on its Trek through the Universe for finding his next great job. Captain, beware of your Superbowl. |

Basing this only on ratings I've seen and what other schools were in on Charles, but this seems like a weak get when we could have saved that scholly for an 08?? Anyone have any real insight as to what McD was envisioning when we went after this kid. Seems to me that when the other offers are from Pepperdine, Lamar, and Ill-Chicago that signing with ISU is a no brainer. I do like his FG and FT %, though. I like having someone who can handle the ball near the end of a game and go to the line with a high percentage. So, is he a future role player or future starter?

I completely agree with CyinCo. Am I the only one who thinks it was just a little bit silly to give scholarships to Charles Boozer and Luca Steigger who nobody else thought was scholarship worthy? If we wanted to recruit a guy like Charles Boozer because of his famous brother, then why not give the scholarship to Jeffrey Jordan because of his famous dad? Plus, is anybody else a little nervous with Jessan Gray and Jiri departing that we maybe should have used the scholarship for a good, big, juco player. So far, I have no reason to question a coach who is undefeated and has signed a 5 star recruit. However, I'm not anti Coach McD just because I have questioned his last two signees. I don't know.
