Cy’s Packs & Applebee’s Mini-Packs Going Fast

AMES, Iowa – For Iowa State football fans waiting to the last minute to make their 2008 ticket purchases, it is time to commit to either a Cy's Pack or an Applebee's Mini-Pack ticket package while they are still available.Otherwise, it could soon be too late.Department officials anticipate supplies will run out for both offers soon as only 125 Cy's Pack and roughly 500 Applebee's Mini Pack remain for sale. The $99 Applebee's Mini-Packs provide reserved tickets to three games – either South Dakota State or Kent State, Nebraska and either Texas A&M or Missouri – along with a $20 gift certificate to use at most of the Applebee's in the state of Iowa. The Cy's Pack tickets cost $195 each and include all six Iowa State home games.*"Once the inventory of those tickets is exhausted, only full price and hillside tickets will be available," Director of Athletics Jamie Pollard said. "The Applebee's promotion, especially, has been extremely popular and we've increased the number of packages available for sale several times this summer."Iowa State has sold nearly 3,000 of the mini-packs since July. The promotion was launched largely in response to the tough economic times that many fans are facing.Online sales at cyclones.com can be accessed by clicking on the ticket page. Fans may also call (515-294-1816 or 1-888-478-2925) or visit the Athletics Ticket Office (Jacobson Athletic Building) to purchase tickets.

"only 125 Cy's Pack and roughly 500 Applebee's Mini Pack remain for sale"

Does anyone know how many seats are in the cypack sections? Have we sold out of the Cy Pack tickets in prior years?

Only 500 Applebee's tickets remain - seems like this promo is working.

With the endzone sold out and these two packs on the verge of selling out it does appear that price matters.

Cy's Pack is a great way to get season tickets for people who aren't swimming in cash, or make two house payments, or whatever, but still want to be there to support their Cyclones

Reap the Wirbelsturm!!!

I started buying the Cy Pack seats when they first came out and this year we paid for regular season tickets. If it wasn't for the Cy Pack tickets I may never had started buying season tickets. Also, there are no bad seats in (ok maybe endzone seats) in the Jack.

Exactly!!! It's the perfect starter package.

That's usually why you have low price point stuff for introductory offers. People buy the small part, now they're in and like it, so they spend more for the 'upgraded' package.

I'm starting my "professionally funded" season tickets with el cheapo's. Hillsides this year.

Save us tonight, the last hope for all of us,
Light-years gone by, we're still holding on,
Save us tonight, a star shines in all of us,
Far beyond our lives, still our glory lives on.

Have you sat hillside before? Are you going to try to sneak into a different section or do you plan on being hillside for all the games?

I've never met anyone that has done hillside so I'm curious....

No, I've never done hillsides. I kinda doubt that I'm going to try and sneak into other sections because we have a group of us all getting hillsides. That should be fun enough.

Re: Cy’s Packs & Applebee’s Mini-Packs Going Fast

I graduated in 2005. That year I had one of my sisters friends buy me student tickets. The last two years I have gotten hillside. Hillside isn't bad unless it is packed. Then you have no room to spread out. Otherwise, it's kinda nice to be able to lay down and watch and the view really isn't bad unless you are inside the 20 on the other side of the field. That said, I usually go sit up top or down low in the student section. Once I graduate medical school I'll buy some regular seats.

I received my Applebees tickets as well. You can't use the gift certificates for alcohol.

We sat on hillsides for a few years before committing to seats. It was a great and cheap way for our family to get started. Now we're on the 50 in the upper deck and it can't be beat, but we loved our days on the hillsides.

Was the envelop inspected and sealed by Wanda Sykes?
