Camp Randall and there 11-1 record seem to be pretty happy...

Very true.....they do have great backs, and decent qb's and receiver's. But they live and die by their defense.

I hope the "new" name can fire up the fan base...if he's not a biggie, there will be a lot of disappointed fans.

Maybe it's Sherman - name has been sparse in recent days.

It sounds like it's not going to be someone that the "big donors" are that familiar with.

Today, still wanted by BCS teams, he survives as a coach of fortune. If you have a problem - if no one else can help - and if you can find him- maybe you can hire: Gene Chizik.

Yeah, sounds like it is going to be a young guy who has proven himself at a high level.

Re: ISU Inks Agreement With new Head Coach

A friend of mine was at the Des Moines airport last weekend and saw Mike Ditka (no joke). He asked him what he was doing in Des Moines and he smiled and said he had an interview.

While I don't think ISU is going after Ditka or that Ditka is even remotely interested in returning to the coaching ranks you have to admit it is kind of funny....

Maybe Barry Alvarez will come back into coaching at ISU with Pollard, and not go to Miami as some rumors have said....would he be a "big" name?
