We would like to congratulate Greg McDermott on his induction into University of North Dakota Hall of Fame this weekend.
Greg was an assistant coach at UND from '89-94. The ceremony this weekend is in honor of the great accomplishments of the '89-90 season.

A program isn't built on one player and it doesn't succeed because of one player, thus a program won't fail if it doesn't get that one player.

It is great to have Greg back in North Dakota for a weekend, and this is a nice honor for him since this is where he got his start in coaching. McDermott began his coaching career as an assistant at the University of North Dakota from 1989-94. During his tenure, the Fighting Sioux made five consecutive NCAA Division II Tournament appearances, were ranked No. 1 in the final 1991 NCAA poll and won two North Central Conference crowns. He was also a part of two North Central Region Championships and compiled a 126-37 record in his six seasons. He is however already looking for a gamewatch site, in between festivites so he can root on the Cyclones to Victory in tomorrows big game.... | | | |
