DMR Link LSU defensive coordinator Bo Pelini, whose name has been unofficially thrown around during the search, ended that speculation this afternoon.
"That's interesting," Pelini told The Des Moines Register when asked about Monday's scheduled press conference, "considering I haven't even talked to anybody from Iowa State." |

I think this quote might very well mean it is Pelini. To say, " I haven't even talked to anyone from Iowa State," would have to mean that JP never even put out a feeler to him to see if he was intersted in the job. Does anyone think JP wouldn't have a least spoken to Pelini on the phone to get it from "the horses mouth" that he had no interest?? I think not. Maybe JP told BP to deny everything until you're introduced tomorrow night. And especially don't let the God awful DMR get this scoop before anyone else.
Of course this is just me thinking out loud and I have absolutley no clue who the coach will be. This is fun!

He could easily say that he had no interest in the ISU job, but to just say "No one from ISU has contacted me" seems a bit scripted.

I'm pulling for Pelini so I'm hoping that's all smoke and mirrors. I'm really not sold on Kelly.
