AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State men’s cross country in ranked 11th in the latest USTFCCCA Men’s Division I Cross Country national poll which was released Sept. 20th. The Cyclones made the jump in the polls after a second place finish at the Roy Griak Invitational in Falcon Heights, Minn. this weekend. Sophomore Hillary Bor’s eight-place finish earned him the Big 12 Conference’s men’s cross country runner-of-the-week. Bor was the first Cyclone across the finish line as he clocked a time of 24:19 to help give Iowa State a second place finish at the meet.
“It’s obviously a tribute to the guys and the direction that we are heading with the program,” head coach Corey Ihmels said. “We are excited about the attention that the team has gotten to this point and just look forward to continue to do what were doing and get better as the season progresses.”
