Well, the day is upon us and we all sit here wondering how in the world Pollard could have kept things so secret for so long. Chizik was assumed by many to not have interest in the ISU job and was supposedly waiting for bigger things. I guess sometimes we all read into the evidence just a bit too much. Dallas now makes a lot more sense than it did 24 hours ago.

I want to take a quick minute to say that I WAS WRONG. You heard me, I was wrong about Kelly. Everybody was wrong about Kelly, even the almighty ESPN. We can only go by what sources say and this time around, they were flat out wrong time and time again. It wasn't just that all of the websites and reporters were incorrect, we were all just completely in the wrong state with this one. There is no spinning it when the guy hired was thought to have no connections to the search after the first week or two. Others might try to say that they weren't completely wrong but lets face it, we all were, plain and simple.

So to all of you reading this, I hope you realize the tough job that reporters or website admins have trying to decipher the real news from the false rumors. It's not easy and I tip my hat to everybody out there that does this for a full-time job. Kudos to you, you deserve it.

As far as me being wrong, welcome to the world of trying to report what sources are saying:) Hopefully we can continue to get things right but once in a while sources just aren't going to be reliable or in the know. I tip my hat to the job Jamie Pollard did on this search. Not only did he keep everybody in the dark, he hired the best possible candidate that everybody thought was above this so-called coaching graveyard. Woo Hoo!

Jeremy, no one will care you were wrong. Reason being I think everyone will like this outcome better than if you were "right".

I think that ESPN had a story, if only briefly, saying it was Kelly speaks volumes to how little people knew about this.

Actually I am glad you were wrong and everyone else was wrong. This is Jamie Pollard's show, I will give him all the credit - I do not want for anyone else to steal his effort by predicting him right. Nothing against you Jeremy or the media, but I am loving JP - he is the greatest thing ever happened to ISU and I am lucky to have seen it in real time..
