The Rag is owned by a corporation now so only once the bottom line is effected will they really start to care about the product.
It's somewhat odd, because I actually do subscribe to the Wall Street Journal, and I'm 30. It's got good, well-written, in-depth articles.

I don't read all of it every day, but I do find it quite interesting from time to time - especially lately.

I'd probably subscribe to the rag if if had well-written, well-researched articles. I just take one look at the OWH's sports section, and then one look at the rag's, and it's like one is a high school paper and one is a serious piece of journalism.

It's just sad.

I don't want homer articles. I don't want a rehash of the press conference. I'm just absolutely sick of the lazy, tired, and borderline incompetent brand of journalism that the Rag spews out.

Take some time and cover other teams in the Big X and Big XII. Talk to the coaches, the players. Stop being a freaking mouthpiece for our in-state programs. I'm convinced that sort of coverage is why Iowa's fanbase is so inbred (well that,Winger and Dokken). All they ever get is homer perspective from everyone associated with the press in this state. They can't seem to separate themselves as journalists from the fans that it's clearly evident they are.

You mean we have unlimited juice?

[quote=mizouse87;660188]"Basically, it's really simple," Chizik said. "You play consistently all the way through on offense and defense and you don't turn the ball over. Did any of that happen? No. We didn't play consistently on offense. . . . Our margin of error is very small right now."

The margin for error is exactly what happened in Saturday's game. There were about 4 times when someone on offense tried to make a great play and ending up not making a normal play. Twice a player tried to make a move to make a big play and ended up just short of the first down. On two of the 4 downs at the end of the game receivers took their eye off of the ball to look at what they could do after they caught it.
