A program isn't built on one player and it doesn't succeed because of one player, thus a program won't fail if it doesn't get that one player.

As I noted in a separate post, he was a part of 2 straight undefeated seasons, '04 with Auburn and '05 with Texas. Also, he was voted the nation's best assistant in '04.

How Pollard and ISU got him to Ames, I may never understand.

He's 42 I believe. I don't know how he got him to Ames with some of the other programs he's been rumored to be close to. It will be interesting to hear the contract details:)

I'm guessing around 42-44, being he graduated from Florida in '85.

I come home for all of 10 minutes between class, and I find out that I just got the greatest B-day/Christmas present EVER.

I think Uncle Ruckus from the Boondocks said it best,

"Could you repeat that, I couldn't hear you over the sound of me s***ing myself"

I'm half tempted to take the rest of the day off to celebrate.

He got him with $$$$$ and I'm guessing some pretty good promises facility wise. But hey if you want to get the top dogs you have to do that.

You have to spend money to make money. All the little pieces of information make sense now, and I couldn't be happier. He will create quite a buzz and excitement in the Cyclone community, and should have some great connections, not only in Texas recruiting, but also with quality assistants. POLLARD IS THE WIZARD!
