ROOKIES OF THE WEEK

Mike Taylor, Iowa State, G, Jr., 6-3, 165, Milwaukee, Wis./Chipola JC (Fla.)

Taylor averaged 27.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 6.0 assists in leading the Cyclones to two wins. The junior had a career-best 33 points in a 68-63 tally at Minnesota, followed by 22 points in a 90-61 victory over Lake Superior State. He connected on 12-of-22 (.545) shots from 3-point range and hit at a 48.7 percent clip from the floor overall. Against the Golden Gophers, Taylor scored 20 points in the final 10 minutes to help ISU secure the win. He made six straight 3-pointers versus Lake Superior State, giving him nine in a row dating back to the second half of the Minnesota contest.

Stefhon Hannah, Missouri, G, Jr., 6-0, 175, Chicago, Ill./Chipola JC (Fla.)

Hannah, a former teammate of Taylor's at Chipola Junior College, led the Tigers to a 85-56 win over Stephen F. Austin in their only game of the week. The junior guard approached a triple-double with 12 points, nine assists and seven steals in 31 minutes. The assist total was a career-high and tied for the second-best by a Big 12 player this year. Hannah's seven steals was the highest in the league this season and tied for the second-best effort in Mizzou history. He has a conference-high 23 steals in 2006-07.
