Iowa/Iowa State Rivalry Game Watch

Hey, CycloneFanatics! Less than one week away from the Iowa/Iowa State MBB game. If you are in the area and not going to Iowa City for the game, join us at Victor's Sports Club (MAP) at 7500 Douglas Ave. in Urbandale for the very first meeting of the Cyclone FanAddict club!! The game starts at 7:00, but come as early as you want!

We should have CF shirts available for purchase, and possibly the Cyclone rubber duckies that Jeremy mentioned earlier. We'll also be looking for ideas for future events. Some of the ideas mentioned so far have been:

- Golf Outings
- Game Watches
- ISU Hockey game
- Group tailgates

Let us know if you have any other ideas that would be fun!

Hope lots of people can make it this Friday to watch ISU match up against the last in-state rival! I'm including a poll - let us know if you can make it or not! We hope to see everyone there, or at a future event! If you have any questions, feel free to PM or post them in this thread.

If we're drinking Boulevard pitchers...I'm going to guess that my glass will be on the empty side most of the evening.

well im goin, but i cant drink, i might be in my acu's too, because i have a makeup drill during the day, so we will see if i have time to change, if not,owell

No worries about not being able to drink, cmoore - I think Thunderdave said that we may be able to get group discounts on food, or something of the like, depending on attendance. Glad to see that we've got 8 solid yes answers so far - if anyone has ANY questions on location, time, or anything, let me know.

Angie, you should have an option that says "I would but I'll be AT the game!" which is my response. Hopefully one of these days I'll make one of these. I have season tickets for football and basketball plus usually like to get a few road trips in when they are close so game watches can be hard to make at times.

Oh yeah, a suggestion on a possible location sometime too is Trophies Sports Bar and Grill just east a ways on Douglas. I know that for road football games they have game watches for ISU and is usually a pretty popular ISU bar for about any game. Plus good food and I can also stumble home if need be as I practically live just around the corner from there. :)

That is awesome. :) I'll definitely put it on the list of suggestions - that would be great, and it's a fairly central location for everyone. I think we're going to try and move the events around - some in Ames, maybe some in Ankeny, and DSM.

Thats not a bad idea, but I would hate to entrude on another clubs locations. That is the official site of the GDMCC game watches, but if I remember right, I think they are skipping around trying different places too.

So nevermind!
