| MH: #6 Cyclones Prepare for CSCHL Tournament
The Iowa State Cyclone Hockey team is about to leave for the biggest and toughest conference tournament in the nation. The Central States Collegiate Hockey League is known around the ACHA for being the best conference in the nation. Seven teams from this conference have been announced as selections for the 2007 National Tournament in Youngstown, OH.
But before the team can get ready to roll for "Nattys" they have to prepare to play in Athens, OH. Three games in three days, single elimination. The Cyclones currently sit at fourth place in the tournament. They will face off against the #9 Kent State Golden Flashes. With a win, they will likely face the regular season champion and #2 in the nation, Ohio at their own rink.
Iowa State will have to play their best hockey of the season in order to come out with the Conference Title. They will leave tomorrow for Athens and prepare to play Friday morning at 10:00. The game will not be broadcast but you will be receiving updates from me here at CycloneFanatic.
We thank all of the Cyclone Fans for their support throughout the regular season and remind you that you have one more chance to catch the Iowa State Cyclones on home ice.
Last two home games:
Friday, February 23rd at 7:30
Saturday, February 24th at 8:30 (this game time may change, we will update you soon.)
