A lot of names have been tossed around as possibilities for Iowa State in the coming years, here's a somewhat thorough list of big-men that the staff is well aware of.

HS and JUCO players to keep an eye on...

Tyrese Breshers - 6'6" 220lbs PF - CA
Brennan Cougill - 6-9" 255lbs PF - IA
Josh Crittle - 6'8" 215lbs PF - IL
Luke Fabrizius - 6'10" 205lbs SF - IL
Corbin Moore - 6'10" 235lbs C - CA
Emanuel Negedu - 6'7" 230lbs PF - NH
Jeremy Robinson - 6'8" 210lbs C - IL
Steve Tchiengang - 6'9" 215lbs PF - TX
Tyler Zeller - 6'10" 210lbs C - IN

A program isn't built on one player and it doesn't succeed because of one player, thus a program won't fail if it doesn't get that one player.

The name Luke Fabrizius sounds like an NBA name. Dont know why, just clicks that way. I would like to see any of those guys aboard. Someone with the strength and ferociousness of Fizer or at least have the want and ability to get that way.

Re: MBB Recruiting For Size, Depth

I want someone that is at least 6'9" and 225+ so we can have a big man that won't get pushed around very easily.

Chizik: "One thing that I’d encourage our fans…I want them to be the loudest stadium in the Big 12. I don’t care…I want Jack Trice stadium to be the loudest in the Big 12 and I think that creates homefield advantage.... I want to stress to everyone…I want this place to be juiced up. They bought 36,000 season tickets so there is a passion there…don’t hide it…let it out. I want there to be a passion in the stadium."

I-S-U!

WOW, that kid is BIG!! 255? sheesh... Wasn't that the average wt. of our line? haha

Save us tonight, the last hope for all of us,
Light-years gone by, we're still holding on,
Save us tonight, a star shines in all of us,
Far beyond our lives, still our glory lives on.

He's an '09 recruit as well. For some reason when I saw this kid it made me think of Bryant "Big Country" Reeves. Maybe that's just cause I grew up in Stillwater, OK and followed the Cowboys as a kid, but if he can produce like Big Country he'd be a helluva get. Seeing as how he's a sophomore and I haven't seen him play yet, perhaps drawing that comparison is a bit of a stretch, but that's who I thought of when I saw him.

Here's Cougill's Scout profile...
LINK
He's definitely got some meat on his frame - just a matter of chiseling it.

Also saw that he's interested in Kansas (had a visit there already)...

Brennan Cougill (2009) was recently interviewed for a story on the Kansas University recruiting site Jayhawkslant.com:
..."Yes, I took an unofficial visit to Kansas during the Rhode Island game," said Cougill. "It was a great visit. I watched the game, went to the locker-room afterwards and then took a tour of the campus. It was a nice atmosphere at the game and one of the better ones that I've seen.

"I've also been to Iowa, Iowa State and UNI," he added. "I don't have any leaders or favorites right now. I am interested in the schools that I just mentioned. I plan to make it back to Kansas for a game, but I don't know when that's going to happen. The coaching staff told me to call when I have time in my schedule to make it back."...

Luke Fabrizius goes to where I went to high school, he'd be a real good pick up. Great ball skills and range for a big guy, but his heart is set on MSU. If Izzo offers, its all but said and done.

Negedu and Breshers are the two from that list I really want. I will wish upon a shooting star, because that would be huge...

Brennen Cougill from Sioux City, are you serious.
I have seen this kid play 3 times and he will not help us at all.
Way to slow.
