Lightbulb CF - All Encompassing Feature Update - 2/20/06

CF - All Encompassing Feature Update - 2/20/06

Here is an update on things I'm working on for the site, as well as some general site-related topics...

1. - I'm still working on the Classifieds section and will hopefully have all the bugs worked out this week.

2. - There are several small projects and enhancements that I'm working on that members or moderators have requested. I don't have a set schedule on when these will be done but I'm working on them when I get a chance.

3. - Since we're in one of the slower news times of the year, I'm taking the opportunity to work on some of the back-end features and enhancements that I otherwise wouldn't get time for. These will allow for some future enhancements and features that I'm working on for the front-end.

4. - Also because of the slower news-cycle, I'm working on re-organizing my office at home to accommodate the growing needs of the site. I'll be online and offline more sporadically in the evenings for the next couple days/weeks as I get everything situated and the new equipment installed.

5. - A major new feature I'm working on is a professional looking welcome page/portal for the site. I haven't nailed down exactly how it's going to look or operate but I'll be soliciting feedback and testers in the future. The interface will be very interactive and use a lot of new technologies so it'll take a little while to fully develop and test.

6. - 'Project: State' will be introduced this summer. More details to come ;)

A program isn't built on one player and it doesn't succeed because of one player, thus a program won't fail if it doesn't get that one player.

Is this like the Alan Parson's Project? If so, I'm a bit leery, 'cuz it didn't work so well for Dr. Evil...

Projects A through W were a complete failure. But now, ladies and gentlemen, we finally have a working tractor beam, which we shall call... Project X.

I think everybody will like it a lot:) It's quite an endeavor but it'll be worth it.

FYI - I renamed it to 'Project: State'.

Jeremy, this thread, like Project X, had so much potential before the name change.

Project X?...wasn't that the one with the radiated monkey flying bombers during the cold war (Think Matthew Broderick)

How about calling it The Allan Parsons Project (Spy who Shagged Me)

HAPPY FAT TUESDAY!!!

Yea, though Project X walks through the valley of the shadow of death, it will fear no evil: for thou art with it; thy rod and thy staff they comfort it.
