Re: MH: Cyclones in Youngstown for National Tournament

What a heartbreaker. Iowa State outshot West Chester but got into penalty trouble. WCU had three power play goals. Iowa State is added to the list of upsets for the day.

But congratulations to the boys on a great season and a CSCHL trophy! They're a good, young team and they represent Iowa State well. They'll be upset tonight but thirsty for next season soon enough.

TRUE AND VALIANT

Re: MH: Cyclones in Youngstown for National Tournament

The boys are devastated by the tough loss today, but they are able to hold their heads high as Champions of the CSCHL.

It was the most upsets ever at the national tournament today. #2, #5, #6, #7 all fell today. Ohio is the first 2 seed to lose in rd. 1. It was a tough day and West Chester was much better than expected.

I think the Cyclones played well, but they were knocked off their game early and just couldn't make things happen. Trent Baker, despite giving up 5 goals played a heck of a game. Many of the goals were on screens or rebounds.

I think he deserves some applause as one of the finest goalies ever to don the Cardinal and Gold. We'll miss him.

The Cyclones will play for 9th place tomorrow against Lindenwood and then its a long bus ride home. What a great season, just a disappointing end. We'll have a complete season recap soon.

Thanks to all the folks for the words of support, for coming to the games, and for being great Cyclone Fans!
