WR: NCAA Championships Thread

All right guys, it all comes down to four matches tonight. Good luck to the Cyclone wrestlers. The action starts at 7 on ESPN, and Trent Paulson will be the first wrestler for ISU, wrestling at 157 pounds. Cheer on Paulson, Jake Varner and Kurt Backes as they try and do the cardinal and gold faithful proud!

UPDATE: TRENT PAULSON - NATIONAL CHAMPION

And cheer against Minnesota's HWT, even though he is a terrific wrestler and probably an okay guy... still hope he loses :)

I'll second that.
I hope we can get 2 champions to at least take the points lead going into the hwt match.

Wow...the OU guy hadn't lost all year, right? Maybe that's a sign of things to come later in tonight?!?!?!?!?

JOIN THE NATIONAL CYCLONE CLUB!
“If we truly want to do this, this is the time to step up. Iowa State University has 175,000 living alumni. If one-of-every-10 living alumni joined the National Cyclone Club at the minimum level of $100, we could finance $30 million worth of construction." Jamie Pollard

Not gonna lie, my buddy from HS came down tonight, so I"m making him watch the matches. However, he's making me buy him beer, so if I miss a match, Elaine the swan is going to be kicked...

Let's Go State!!

Save us tonight, the last hope for all of us,
Light-years gone by, we're still holding on,
Save us tonight, a star shines in all of us,
Far beyond our lives, still our glory lives on.

I am rooting for Gillespie because if he wins and Perry from Iowa loses then Iowa will get knocked out to the top 10 team standings. :)

I was rooting for Gillespie because he KO'd Dustin Schlatter and gave us a fighting chance.
