WBB: Game Set for ESPN2 at 6 p.m. Monday
Media Relations

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Iowa State's second round game in the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament vs. Georgia will begin at 6 p.m. Monday, March 19. The Cyclones defeated Washington, 79-60, on Saturday afternoon to advance to the second round of the tournament.

The game will be televised on ESPN2 and ESPNU. The state of Iowa will get the game in its entirety on ESPN2, while the rest of the nation will be part of a "Whip-Around" coverage that shows several games during the same time slot. ESPNU, however, will televise the Iowa State-Georgia game nationally in its entirety.

A program isn't built on one player and it doesn't succeed because of one player, thus a program won't fail if it doesn't get that one player.

im so confused..because i thought thats what they said about the Wash game.. and then all of a sudden.. only show the first half.. (not that it mattered because i was at the game and im going to this one) but i DVR these games to watch again, and i was honestly pissed that they showed OU instead of our game...sooooooooooooo

what channel is going to show the whole game, because from this it looks like both..but i really cant tell..

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

The state of Iowa gets to see all the game on ESPN2 the rest of the country will 'enjoy' the jump all over the place, show every game for 2 min. coverage. (not that it helps me, I'll be stuck in my night class)

Anyone know anything about the Bulldogs? How we match up? I see they are the higher seed but anyone follow WBB close enough to enlighten me?

Re: WBB: Game Set for ESPN2 at 6 p.m. Monday

They have some good players, good post players if i remeber right, they have alot of good wins against top 25 teams, should be a good game, but they are a little inconsistent, we will have to not turn the ball over alot, and hit our open shots, thats what killed belmont, they shot 22 or so 3's but only made 1.. so hitting the open shots will be key, they have made it to the sweet 16 5 years in a row.. so it will be a tough matchup but we def can win this one

Tasha Humphrey... that is there go to person inside, she avgs 15ppg and 7.5reb

Their first game was pretty ugly. The score was 56-33 and the Bulldogs only shot 33% from the field and 19% from 3.

ESPN "whip around" Sucks! You pay for Cable or satillite and then have to watch "segments". I think next year no more full court(no more packages) and just do internet streaming.

It sounds like the Bulldogs are prone to scoring droughts, but play tough 'D', so I think this will be a tough low scoring battle. If we can keep Weiben and Pierson out of foul trouble, I think we will be able to go on a nice run in the second half. Especially if we can force turnovers off of them.

I'd imagine we'll go back to our zone after playing man the whole Washington game.

I have satellite and I can watch "ESPN 2 Alternate" that shows the whole game.

I'm wondering too. I was at my grandparent's house in Emmetsburg on Saturday watching the game on ESPN2 with Direct TV and at halftime they switched to the OU game and never came back. I wonder if it's a Direct TV problem with determining where you are for the regional coverage? I don't know, but wasn't happy.
