Just make sure that when you take an offer that your daily income is enough to support at least normal training. It wouldn't hurt to check into where you fit into their roster.
I keep reading that Stamina is a key building block for your player. You get no stats if you're guy can't stay on the field.

So if I'm seeing this correctly, you play like a real game of football with your teammates and you control your player?
I'm seeing videos like this one... http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?pbp_id=1155254
I'm not sure how the gameplay works...anyone care to explain?

I'm not sure how the gameplay works...anyone care to explain? The games are just simulated, you don't really have any control.

You essentially manage the players career. You sign contracts, make decisions on training and play intensity, and assign attribute points in order to advance at your position.
Looks like there are around 90,000 members at this point. I keep seeing posts from the founders that the site has been much more popular than they had ever imagined.

Thanks to the guys who signed up through my referral link. The best advice I can give a new player is to look in the Newbie Questions forum and see what the best training method is for your player. I essentially wasted the first season trying to train a little bit of everything instead of spedicalizing. A lot of team owners will help you along too. My team (which is WAY down the totem pole of importance) has assigned and OC and a DC to help bring players up to match the coaching style of the team.
The great thing is that the game can be as deep or as shallow as you would like it to be.

They have just doubled the number of teams available, so there are WAY too many openings. Even new players at level 1 can get signed to rediculous contracts immediately.
If you're still thinking about getting in, do it now as a new season is going to start within the next week, and the number of players vs. teams is definitely in the players' favor.
Sign up and hit the forums. There is an entire section for "Teams Looking For Players". They are even posting for level 1 players. Goal Line Blitz - Beta - American Football MMORPG | | |

I'm sure enough to make it worth their while, but I'd bet it's mostly a labor of love. It has been blowing up though. I wouldn't ever pay money to advance my player, but the points are pretty cheap. There are probably alot of people willing to plunk down a couple bucks to boost their players.
