Fashion Show photos

Photographed a fashion show at the Liars Club last Thursday night - rather interesting to say the least.

Did a couple photo ops before and then tons of runway shots. Here are some of 'em...

Oh...there was some body painting stuff there too - very great work. This however, is not body paint. Some funky body art, to put it mildly.

Im going to tell ya, the first and the last scare me.

That last guy was on an episode of X-files, right?

I don't think he was. Cool guy though, I chatted with him very briefly before the show. He's a big dude too - can be rather intimidating both from the size and all the ink.

Hence why bos is crying in the corner. ;)

I did learn a lot that night - which is always good. Lighting was definitely funky in the club - had to time my end of the runway shots just right, or I would get a lens full of the spotlight. When I did it right though, it created some cool backlighting on the model and their hair.

Re: Fashion Show photos

22, have you ever considered taking artistic photos such as this

JOSHUA HOFFINE PHOTOGRAPHY

I know its creepy, so I dont mean to do this exact thing, but the whole pictures that you can sell as art thing is pretty slick.

Yeah, those are awesome. I actually saw that guy's site last week - amazing work. There are simply hours upon hours that go into each one of those shots there. He definitely has a great eye and works with some creative people!

I'd like to branch out into many different directions - spending a lot of time right now simply gaining more knowledge of the craft. :)

Look into lense filters to help with that spotlight glare. Theres a way to capture the light without making it so glaring.

Of course. I have UV filters on all my glass right now, they're simply a clear filter mostly used to protect the lens.

I have others on my wish list, they're just rather spendy. Can't buy it all at once. :(

Totally understand! Expensive hobby for sure.

I did like how the colors came through. A little shaded I think because of that lighting issue again that you spoke of, but still looked pretty vibrant and clear.
