Wii Fit Balance Board

I see there is a new peripheral coming out. Looks like Raving Rabbids will take advantage of it in some capacity.

Looks like a new WiiWare game could be fun as well.

Charlie Mackenzie: No, I think it's repellent in every way. In fact, I think most Scottish cuisine is based on a dare.

That game looks pretty entertaining. What's WiiWare? Is it something in the online shop that you download? I haven't spent much time in the shopping channel yet because I know I'd end up buying a bunch of old NES games that would distract me from the real Wii games like Mario Kart. I do plan to check it out sooner or later and download a few classic NES games.

Patrick who?

Its software for the Wii. It may very well be a launchpad for private developers and stuff too.

Does it still come on a disc?

Its built into the Wii. You just need to click on the store button.

Wii Fit I saw in a Wal-Mart flyer will be out around the 19th. If you order online, you get a $10 gift card for Walmart.com. The price was listed at $89, so you better be serious about losing some weight to cover your cost!

Has anyone gotten this yet? My wife is interested in getting, but I am looking for a first hand review.

Does anyone know where I can find that offer that I can submit to get the Wii grips that now come with the system. I tried searching here as I know we talked about it, but that did no good.

I did find the link for the strap, but not the grip things. Are there any other rebate type things out there?

Here:
| Nintendo - Customer Service | Wii Remote Wrist Strap Replacement Information

I've been watching the WiiFit videos, it actually looks pretty cool, maybe I will pick one up today.

Re: Wii Fit Balance Board

Thanks for the link.

It was only time the Wii Fit was introduced. But I would imagine that part of it is just watching a video and doing the actions, no different than those workout videos.

This game
looks like it'll be fun on the balance board. I pre-ordered my Fit through Amazon, but I guess it won't get here until the 27th or so.

Am I the only one that doesn't want to work out when I play video games? If I wanted exercise I'd be outside!

And I, Bruno, will dive 1,000 feet into a block of cement. On my head, yet!

I agree with you somewhat, I will probably wait until late fall to buy Wii Fit. I was going to get it right away but decided to continue walking and running outside this summer while the weather is nice. Once November hits, I will be looking for a fun alternative to riding the exercise bike at our fitness center at work. The skiing game looks really fun, and hopefully by this fall there will be more games available that utilize the balance board.
