Its hard to justify killing off one of our strongest players, especially if they are innocent.
With that said a vote needs cast and the majority is leaning towards D4. I hate to say it, but it looks as though one of the strongest may be the first to go.
It's turning into Survivor here!!!

And using that type of reasoning (where past mafia are not current mafia) it puts the chance of d4 being mafia at 33%. That's better info than we currently have on anyone else that has posted quite a bit. But this would also apply to Guitarchitect7 and coachdags (also early participants in the public square).

Reasonable mobs are boring... but they are also reasonable.
While I was an advocate for whacking someone the first day last game, I was also in the Mafia and motivated by the desire to kill as many innocents as possible.
My experience with this game also comes from playing in person, where the day ended when the innocents hung someone, so it was required.
That being said... we have no info now, and the only info we'll have tomorrow is who was killed by the mafia. We may be buying the detective time, but since the detective is unknown the doctor can't protect them, so waiting could lead to the untimely demise of one or more critical players, and w'ed still not know who is mafia. So while waiting has it's virtues... we really don't gain much, if at all from not voting

We might get lucky and strike a mafia member and get them eliminated. I can see where you might want to wait for the detective but it could take a few days to discover who is innocent and who is mafia by then the mafia could wipe out a few innocents. We got to take a chance.

If Cycloneworld used a program that took previous roles into account your statistics would have a little more bearing. However, I would be inclined to believe that he just adds a list of players to a randomizer, radomizes, groups players on the list (first three mafia, next godfather, so on and so forth) and moves on. If that is the case, your logic is flawed.
Let's add that to the fact you are still grinding against me despite having nothing else and I begin to wonder what your motives are for wanting me killed. I get the revenge thing and I even get the bandwagoning. But building a case out of nothing on Day 1 is very suspect to me.

I don't have anything against you personally, D4. I'm just trying to get the game going and no one has made any overly suspicious comments (other than CyclonesRule's recent comments). You, evidently have played the game frequently, and just that reason makes me nervous.
If D4 is mafia and we don't lynch him tonight and I end up dead tomorrow (which will be likely) you will know who to suspect then.

Well cycloneworld as said that previous games play no factor, into the current ones and everything is done at random.
For the people who have played this more then 2 times before, what is the best route to take? Just picking someone and going with it? Or is there a better route to take?
Obviously it is nice having more information on people to vote them off, but how much information can you really gather unless it is the detective handing it out? Everyone is going to say they are innocent.

I have no problem not voting anyone off tonight.

Obviously it is nice having more information on people to vote them off, but how much information can you really gather unless it is the detective handing it out? Everyone is going to say they are innocent. I think Day 1 can be very telling to people. If we don't eliminate people how are we suppose to judge others? If we don't vote people off, we have no evidence the next day to work off of. Day 3 or 4 can be different but we need to start getting some evidence for ourselves. Because of this, I think we need to go after someone and the only reason I pick D4 because he has an alternate thinking to this. Originally Posted by d4nim4l That is the thing. What CTAClone said. If we don't vote, we learn nothing of others. If we do vote, we have what, a 1 in 5 chance of eliminating a mob member, where as if we don't vote, we have 0 chance.
We learn no new information, etc

Alright...I'm the one that started a lynching of d4....and yes it was strictly personal (I'm not Stupid), but as he stated, I may have done a stupid thing (1st time player) last game by listing up front on day #2 who I thought everyone was.....(happens that I did finger 2 mob guys) but you the innocents lynched me (abandonment to Kentucky U) instead of listening to reason....
I am now listening to reason on d4, he is right we do not have to eliminate anyone, and may be better off not doing so....(power in numbers).....until we have a better understanding of who is who, it would make sense to wait to see who gets wacked tonite from the mafia.......
I vote to take back my vote on d4nim4l....and Tonite Not Eliminate Anybody-1st Day | | |

Awwwwwwww thanks Dags! Seriously, sorry about the "stupid" comment. Like I said before, it pertained to the game and not to you. Now let's move past it and get some Mafia!

I'm torn. This is the beauty of the game I suppose. If we lynch someone, we learn a little more (by reaction or luck). If we aren't right though we are down two immediately. That killed us last game, but worked well for those of you who played the first game.
