First thoughts, it's slow. You make it as action packed as you want it to be. I started getting all these flags and such and then realized that that just takes way too much time and got right after my first assassination. Boy was that more fun.

I did forget how to do the silent kill? The one where you just come from behind and quickly kill them without much noise. Just like what you do when you first start the game.

How long is the game? How many assassinations?
You will probably kill over a 1000 people when it's all said and done. Each city has 3 parts to it with multiple missions. I can't remember how many there are but I do remember one of the last assassination attempts you have to kill like 30 Templars and many, many guards. It's crazy.

And how did you stay alive for that???

Got through the first three memory blocks and now in memory block four. It seems different as it seems its up to me to find the investigations, or otherwise I'm just doing a poor job. There are a few Viewpoints that I'm not even sure how to get up. Since I can't climb it, I get stuck halfway up. Maybe this would end up helping wit finding the investigations.

viewpoints are the key to the investigations. If you get up a viewpoint it'll show you where everything is.

I killed them all. I'd kill a few run on the rooftops so they'd get split up and then kill a few more. It was bloody good fun.

But there are some that I just can't seem to get to. Some are on tall towers that I run out of objects to climb up. Or another that is on top of the Large Gold Dome, how do you climb a gold dome. Apparently I'm missing something, and I can't find the key to them at all. I will keep trying, but any tips would be awesome.

Heres is what I'm talking about. At about 1:00 it shows a View Point on a Turret Tower. I can't figure out how to get up there. And the Gold Dome.

LINK
A lot of times there is just 1 side where there is something sticking out of it so you can grab onto it. Also when you get to a ledge I think you can move side-to-side on it and around a corner. I can't remember it's been a long time. I also think you learn a new ability that allows you to jump when you are hanging on to something so you jump higher. I'm sorry I'm not much more help. I beat the game when I first got it and I can't remember how to do it. If I have time later today I'll pop it in and climb one of them to tell you how to do it.

Re: Assassins Creed

This also may not help, but in certain cases you've actually gotta just climb up onto that wooden plank that you eventually take your leap of faith from and do your synch from there. you just kind of keep moving around on a ledge with your hands until you can hang from that wooden plank, and then you pull yourself up.

Re: Assassins Creed

Hey guys, ok, I'm on the second to last memory bank. Things are going well and I'm really getting to like this game. After playing GTA for hours on end and not feeling like I"m getting anywhere, this is refreshing, my kind of game. And wow the graphics are pretty cool. A few annoying things, but nothing too complicated. I did find that sometimes just fighting the troops is a whole lot easier than running away.

Regarding my link above. I have revisted that tower yet, but I sear I couldn't find anything on that particular one to climb up with. Now, I have done others that are the exact same and have had no issues, but that doesn't mean that I just couldn't find it.

Even after almost beating the game, this is one that I think is a must buy. Something that in tim you'll revist again just for the sake of playing. Maybe won't beat, but just to play.

Whats the advantage of getting all the flags, recueing all the citizens, or doing all the investigations? I've skipped the flags, only rescue the citzens that help me get in the villages, and do the minimum investigations on each memory. Maybe something to try and tackle the next time I play if there is an advantage.

Oh, and I definately see a trilogy going here. With the way the sub-story is developing, this is something that could become a good series.

I'm thinking of renting it this weekend. If I like it enough, I will just wait for the price to drop and find a good used copy somwhere.
Yeah the game is very, very repetitive but makes up for it with the awesome graffics and the combat is really fun.

No, but that would be cool - I could go all COD on their ****** and never die...

I'm beginning to think it's not possible. I mean how many sword upgrades do you need anyway.

Oh and I played the second to lat memory bank and finally found out about the women knight and then come to find out I have to go to another city before beating that memory bank. I was off to bed.

The game does a fine job of making the game carry a story line although it only has 5-6 memory banks. I plan on beating it tonight, maybe!

The reason for completing all the investigations and capturing the flags is added "life". When you complete these memory blocks, you get an extra block of life.
