Here are a few more ground rules:

1. NO OUTSIDE COMMUNICATION OF ANY KIND IS ALLOWED BY ANY PLAYER.
2. Once you are dead, you may not post in this thread. If you are not in the game, you should also not post your theories in this thread.
3. You are not allowed to edit posts, once they are submitted. Anyone found editing entries in this thread will need to provide very convincing reasons why they should not be eliminated from the game.
4. When it is daytime, you should indicate who you want to eliminate very clearly. You MUST use the following syntax Vote to eliminate PlayerX in bold, so that I can easily determine what the votes are.
5. During the evening, you must be quiet. I will be locking the thread, but in the event I cannot, don't post. Anyone found to be posting in what is clearly a night window is liable to be severely punished and/or eliminated from the game.
6. No posting of any PM message you should receive from me. Ever.
7. If you do not vote for two consecutive days, you may die of "natural causes"

We are going to try something slightly different this game in regards to elimination voting. A majority is no longer needed to eliminate someone. The resident who has the most votes at the end of the day will be eliminated. The only way a resident will not be eliminated at the end of a day will be if the the majority of the votes are I vote to eliminate no one. If 2 residents have the same amount of votes at the end of the day, I will RANDOMLY eliminate one of them. So don't leave it up to me.

There will be 17 players: 3 mafia, 1 godfather (4 total mafia), 1 doctor, 1 detective, 1 miller, 2 masons, 1 vigilante, and 7 ordinary innocents.

The will be a godfather this game. The godfather will be mafia but if investigated by the detective, will show up as an innocent. The godfather will receive a special PM and will know they are the godfather.

There will also be a miller. The miller will be an innocent but if investigated by the detective, will show up as mafia. The miller will receive an ordinary innocent PM and will not know they are the miller.

There will be 2 innocent masons. The masons will receive a special PM telling them they are the mason and will also reveal the other innocent mason to them. Other than this, they are an ordinary innocent.

There will be 1 vigilante. The vigilante may send me a PM saying you elect to kill any other player. He may do this once and only once. If you are still alive that night, you will sneak out to their house and kill them. You are an innocent, so you should choose someone you strongly believe to mafia. However, you only get one chance to perform this action, so you have to act before you are killed.

I will be PMing out roles this morning and we will get the game going ASAP.

I haven't played since Game 1. There, we just started eliminating and guessed right every time and DESTROYED the mafia. Is that the strategy this time?

I like the idea of the vilagent role, but not sure if I'm up for the non-majority. I will be curious to see how it plays out and effects the game.

what is everybody thinking strategy wise for this game, I don't think I agree with how we started out last game. If livin hadn't pegged me as mafia and chadm had not died of natural causes I think the mafia would have won alot easier.

So is it better to play it slow to start, than randomly eliminate people later? Or try to randomly eliminate people now?
