I haven't posted much early in the last few games because whenever I start posting I get lynched. It would be ironic if the reverse happened this game.

The first few days the odds of eliminating a mafia member aren't that good (as has been documented in past games). The purpose of eliminating quiet people the first few days is to give us a better shot at picking off mafia later in the game because we will have documented posts/information/voting records of the remaining members. And if we get lucky and pick off a mafia member early, all the better.

When does Day 1 end coach?

Thats what I did last game - layed low for 2-3 days

I agree with going after the people with not much of a voting record.

I was also thinking about the possible idea that every day something like 3 people were assigned to propose people to be nominated for elimination and give their reasoning. We would just go down the list of participants and each day the next 3 would give their nominations. This way, as the game moves on, everybody would at least have some history to go off of. What does everybody else think of this type of idea?

I agree with cycloneworld's idea of targeting the quiet people, as it seems the mafia has been winning due to us just lynching anyone with an idea the past couple of games. (I'm looking at you, Dags)

I'm pretty sure I was quiet for the first part of last game (had good reasons) and I wasn't mafia, but was just gathering info. I lasted just until the end, and we won that game. Although I'm not arguing with the quiet factor, I just think since its been stated, that the mafia aren't going to hang low anymore (not that they have in the past).

So it looks like (from the other game threads) if I post a lot, I get whacked by the Mafioso, if I stay quiet, I'm gonna get lynched.

If I'm not mistaken that picture is in my user profile... I uploaded it a while back before I learned about attaching files to posts.

However now that he has that up... I may steal that picture and use it for archery practice...

Pretty much. Except the past couple of games, talking a lot would also get you lynched as well as whacked.

It's all about finding the right number of posts to not seem suspicious but also not seem a threat to the mafia until it's too late.

I've yet to find that number so I'll be lynched or whacked like always. Cybookie on who kills me first!
