I am really looking forward to the new potion system.. You no longer have to carry the potions. Enemies will drop an energy orb and such and all you have to do is touch it to restore health.
| Harriet Michaels: Do you actually like haggis? Charlie Mackenzie: No, I think it's repellent in every way. In fact, I think most Scottish cuisine is based on a dare.

Against regular monsters, sure, it'd be great to just run over that orb to reup your health. However, what happens when you go up against final bosses such as Diablo? Is Diablo going to drop a potion every now and then for you to run over? Or am I going to have to go on a "potion hunt" every 10 seconds because he's taken that much life out of me with his infernal lightning? Blizzard actually tried something similar in Diablo II (before the expansion pack) where you could no longer buy mana potions in town - you had to collect them (and they dropped VERY rarely). This was so wildly unpopular by most players that they added mana purchasing back in the Expansion pack.
Speaking of mana, what happens with mana regeneration? Especially with the Barbarian (as we know that's a class in the new game), you NEVER put any skill points into energy - it's a waste of skill points that are otherwise needed in strength, vitality, and occasionally dexterity. And whenever my barbarian goes bat crazy with his skills he drains his mana extremely quickly. The last thing I want is to fight for 30 seconds and then have to wait 5 minutes for the mana to regenerate, only to burn it up again 30 seconds later.
I'm sure (or at least I hope) they have a decent system in mind. If not, potion-quaffing is going to be an option added back in comes time for the Diablo III Expansion pack.

This is what I could find. Kinda of explains their take on it.

And then you're supposed to just "hack away" at them to get a health orb? Like I said, this had better be an ingenious system that is liked by the majority - or they're going to be installing the potion system back into the game by the time the expansion rolls around. They had especially better do something about mana, which has yet to be addressed, because I don't want to fight for 30 seconds and then wait around 3 minutes for my mana to regenerate, just to burn it all in 30 seconds again. I will get extremely frustrated with the game if that's all I have to go on.

On multiplayer I can easily survive heavy battles without dying. I didnt see on this site, but have you heard anything about Mercs?

The only thing I know is in the demo video the Barbarian picked up two mercs when he rescued Cain. So there's definitely some kind of mercs in Diablo III.
The more I think about it the more I'm convincing myself I should go and pick up Guild Wars as it just seems to be the direction where Diablo III is headed. But definitely, when III hits the shelves we're definitely gonna have to set up a CF guild...
As far as Duriel and Diablo, it kind of depends on the character whether I had any luck against them. I always seemed to fare better against them with the amazon and assassin, as they would have both the Act II merc and a casted merc to distract them, and then I could rain the destruction on top of them.
