If I had to pick I think I may be more interested in Starcraft 2...

I never got into Starcraft. Diablo II however owned my soul for a good portion of my life. Mark it down, there is no way this game isn't one of the best ever.

Yeah, easy to come to that conclusion if you see the gameplay trailer...

I don't think I've seen a release date yet, but here's hoping for '08. Now I have the urge to put Diablo II in again.

Blizzard is known for not attaching release dates to things. They do the "we'll release it when it's done". When they announced Starcraft 2 they said that and said they didn't want to be put under schedule pressure and release a game they were less than 100% happy about.

In the FAQ sections like always they are not touching a release date. As others have said that is fairly typical for Blizzard. I have a feeling it will be worth the wait | |

I see this as being a late 2009, mid 2010 release. No way Blizzard lets their expansion to World of Warcraft being overshadowed by a StarCraft 2 or Diablo 3 release. I can't wait, though, I'm really glad they stuck to the traditional top view camera while adding some slick 3D graphics. I honestly thought the graphics were still pre-rendered after seeing the screenshot thumbnails..

I have a feeling it will be worth the wait Well, considering they've scrapped the project TWICE since 2002 (and shut down Blizzard North) because they were unhappy with the game was going (said the games in-process were "not fun" or "too much like Diablo II), with that much work and this long of a wait it had better be the game of the ages.

I would agree with the late 2009-2010 prospect. WoW: Wrath of the Lich King should be late this year roughly, Starcraft 2 sometime in 2009 and Diablo sometime after that. Wow:WLK is the next big thing on Blizzard's agenda as beta testing should begin soon as signup is now.
