Re: Metal Gear Solid 4

this game is sweet.. one of my roomates has it.. and i was like can i playit for a minute.. ya 2hrs later he kicked me off..

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

Have you played the previous MGS games? I'm guessing if you liked them than you will like this one.

Would it be unreasonable to ask the wife for a PS3 to go along with our Wii, XBox 360, PS2 and Gamecube? Oh, and PSP and Gameboy Advance? I've playing the Blu ray angle for some time now, but I am afraid to spring the final part of the plan just yet.

I really like it. I get wrapped up in the MGS games more than I do anything else. There is a MG "encyclopedia" download in the Playstation Store that breaks down the whole series into timelines and a searchable database. It's hard to keep track of everything, the download helps.

On the flipside, I'm a little disappointed with Metal Gear Online. I have no right to complain since it was a free add-on, but I can't get into it.

How I wish I could play this game... I was disappointed with the two PS2 sequels, but I loved the original PlayStation game. How close does MGS4 come to matching the first game's brilliance?

Deep within the heart of Iowa, a storm is brewing...
... the winds of change ripple throughout the vast fields of corn surrounding the small college town of Ames.

The Gene Chizik era of football continues, and, with it, a renewed attitude of pride, determination, and success.

This is Cyclone Football.

I agree.

The original PS1 game is one of the best of all time. The PS2 ones, not so much.

I was the other way around. MSG was ok for me and I loved the 2 and 3. I'm probably not halfway in yet, but there have been some throwbacks to the first game. It is definitely a continuation of the lineage for better, or worse in your case.

MGS1 was pure brilliance.
MGS2 was a gigantic let down (Raven. Seriously?)
MGS3 was really good too. The whole camo thing was fun.

Through the fire and the flames we'll carry on.

I've loved all of them, except the original release of MGS3

The camera sucked and it was nearly impossible to tell if somebody was around from far away.

They rereleased MGS3 as Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence. This version is awesome, it uses the same open camera as MGS4, plus as a huge bonus both the original MG and MG2 never before released in the US are on the disc.

"I just back into town and I hear all this stuff, and Buster Olney is making my team up now and [Genske] wants to tell me who is going to pitch here. No one is going to tell us who to put on our team and no one on ESPN is going to tell us who should pitch for my team. " -Gardy

The only one I've gotten is MGS2, and haven't gotten one since. My roomate ended up playing more than I. I would be curious to try it again, but no PS3.

The camera in MGS 3 did suck. I never got subsistance, so I don't know how it changed.

Ive got a 360, but I'm thinking about getting a ps3. I really want this game though

Thank you Wes Johnson for the great 2 years you gave Iowa State. Wish you could've stayed. Best of luck to you, wherever you end up.

"The one thing I really want to say is to tell the fans thank you for everything," Johnson said. "You rooted for me, you were behind me with my injury, and I really appreciated that."
