if you have had it for a year or less, than you can call microsoft, and tell them it's broken and they will send a box to you and you pack it up and send it to their factory and they will either fix it or send you a new one, they dont take the hard drive unless thats whats broken

I had my original fixed for the three red lights. My replacement lasted about 6 months.
