I sent mine in, got it back in about a week. Then about 2 months later it had another hardware failure so I just sold it on ebay and bought and Elite so I could have HDMI. I think if you buy one that was made before March or April this year they have a falcon chip in them that prevents the hardware failure.

Or where you just fed up with it that you didn't care to try and get it fixed?
I'm debating about reselling it as well after it gets fixed and doing the same as you. Don't the new premiums come with HDMI as well?

Sending one they've already fixed decreases the turnaround time. Rather than waiting for them to fix your own console they can just send one they've already fixed, makes no difference really.
I made a mark on mine to see if I'd get it or a replacement, it was a replacement.

Well now with this price drop, it kind of hurts my resale value. Might be hanging onto it now.

What do you think would happen if I sent mine in claiming the red rings but it doesnt have it. Think they would repair it anyway?

Anyway, stuff tends to break on me after the expiration. My luck right. I wonder if its worth a shot.

Yeah... I thought that all warranties were extended to 3 years. After your replacement comes back you get a 90 day warranty. (if memory serves)

Turn your xbox on and stick it somewhere with no ventilation, it'll break soon enough.

Anything else and you're pretty much SOL (and if you don't know what SOL means, it means you're shelling out several hundo for a new 360).
