NCAA 09 Early Release

The game comes out July 15, but I know that some stores sell the game early before the official release date. Anyone know any places where I could get this game early?

I think this is always a rumor each year, but if places sell the game early, they can lose their license from EA.

yea, Gamestop in Urbandale by the Super Targer has a midnight release. Thats the earliest you can get it!

To get it earlier you just have to get lucky and find a dim-witted Walmart employee that doesn't know any better. Pretty rare though.

I think your should clarify, finding a dim-witted Walmart employee who doesn't know any better is as simple as walking into Walmart. Finding one who will hand you a game early is the rare part!

Even then Wal-Mart and Target both lock out the sale of the game prior to release date. I found 08 on the shelves the Saturday before release last year and got the guy to ring it up. As soon as he scanned it the register told him it could not be sold until that Tuesday. So even stupid people have computers to tell them what to do.

This is true, I remember trying to get NCAA 07 a few years back from Walmart. I convinced the elderly woman working in electronics that the game was supposed to be released that day (per the typo in the Walmart advertisement that I found), but when I got up to the front with it, the register beeped and prevented the sale from being completed. Just wait until the release date like the rest of us. ;)

If you can find local, non-franchise game stores, it may be easier. Don't know of any around here really though. A few guys I play with online have done just that though.

Good luck, Circuit City (I believe) lost the ability to sell EA games for a while if not permanently when they did this a few years ago.

Yeah, it's definitely a big no no, which is why it's rare to find someone willing to do it.

I knew I didn't have a good chance at getting it early so I guess I'll just go to the Best Buy midnight release.

I wouldn't be able to look myself in the mirror if I was waiting in line at midnight for a video game. I will go get it on my to work though!

I'm trying to decide if I want to go to the midnight release. I know I won't be asleep by then so idk. I doubt there's gonna be a big line cause they restock the game pretty fast

ive gone in the past and they have them in their respective stacks behind the counter .... they almost make a soup line outta the deal .... like what version and hand to next guy to check out ..... most ive ever been in there was 10 mins max ....
