Cyclone Fanatic Survivor (1 more needed!!)

Was thinking of starting the very first Cyclone Fanatic Survivor.

The game would be modeled after the show. We would have two tribes of 8 people to start out and after a given period of time (probably a few days instead of a week like the show) one person would get voted out of the game by his tribe.

We would have an immunity challenge each vote cycle where the winning team is safe and the losing team has to vote one of their own out. The contest would probably be sports or cyclone trivia (unless anyone has a better idea). once we got down a few players, we would merge just like the show and people would play for individual immunity.

people could form alliances, backstab other members, make deals, and do all sorts of other things. The winner would be decided by a jury as in the game as well. One million credits could go to the winner. and 100,000 to the runner up.

Trivia questions and answers would be done on a thread, but votes to vote someone out would be sent to me and I would announce results when voting was finished.

Would there be interest in this or should I stop this idea before I finish up all the rules?

I've often thought this would be fun, but wasn't really sure how it would work without really interacting with each other. I'd be up for trying it though.

It sounds interesting enough to try. The tough part would be coming up with the challenges that would work on an internet site.

Sounds interesting but yeah hard to really capture the whole survivor thing without all the interaction. Would basically become who do you know/like best here I think. There's no pulling your weight at camp or obvious strengths and weaknesses other than your ability to answer questions I guess.

Good idea, may need some tweaking.

I agree it's not really like survivor, it's more of just surviving the game.

To me, trivia might be the best way to go for a challenge. I could research good trivia or we could come up with questions that take some time and research to answer.

As much neg. rep I have received lately for some pretty lame reasons I don't like my chances if we had this going on any time soon and I were to play.

That's why my only skeptical thing is how pre-existing relationships could really impact how the game gets played out regardless if someone is playing the game well versus how you have 16 complete strangers on the real show. It's just a game though so it would be interesting to see how giving it a trial run would work out.

What he said. I think having the trivia/contest would be a way to keep people from doing this soley on who they know.

Either way, I think it would be fun to give a shot at once at least.

If this only involves 16 people total, then how will it be of interest to the whole community? It's not like there's going to be a television show to watch.
