They'd probably play at the eagles stadium or something. They'd work something else out.

Well, there's no way they should take away the Big East's automatic BCS bid now. Could you imagine any other BCS conference doing this? The B10 adding UNI or the B12 adding NDSU, there's no way the Big East should be an AQ conference but the MWC isn't.

I'd imagine they'll try to share the Linc with Temple. Nova has been a solid 1AA program for several years, and its a school with lots of Alumni support due to such a strong basketball tradition so they'll have a following. This is almost the exact same situation UCONN was in and their transition worked fine, and no ISU fan can dispute UCONN's legitmacy....heck we helped cement it.

No even close to the same situation. I know its fun to pile on the Big East but they've made this work before and the conference came out stronger.

Maybe they could also add a pressbox and a loudspeaker system while they are renovating.

This is going to cost Villanova a lot of money in scholarships and adding sports just to meet Title IX. It's not an easy answer.

They did the exact same thing with UConn less than decade ago, and in less than a decade they're one of the favorites to win the conference this year. I wouldn't just dismiss the Villanova idea.

How so? They already have a Division I football program (it just plays in FCS, not FBS). Title IX should hardly be a problem.

Yea, its not that thye are starting from scratch. So they will have to make up the difference between FBC and FCS schollies.

I agree! And why not allow teams to move up? I have zero problem with this proposed situation. UConn is a wonderful model for schools looking to grow their program to the traditional D1A level.
